Un E.P. qui pourra largement diviser les fans, notamment ceux fermés d'esprit et qui refusent que Mesarthim puisse faire autre chose que du black metal atmosphérique. Presence est en effet l'œuvre dans laquelle le groupe profite le plus de la musique electro, notamment le new age (surtout sur "Eschaton Part I") voire même le synth pop sur le morceau éponyme ; black metal certes, mais une hybridation très prononcée. Si vous accrochez (comme moi), vous passerez clairement un bon moment !

The Iran isn´t necessarily the country I would connect musically with black gaze, but hey, never judge the geographic book by its cover. Etheraldine released with Shapes of Emerald two nearly 11 mins long tracks with some dreamy blackgaze which is perfect when the world around you is once more too much with its meaningless chatter and faceless crowds. It´s a place where you can root, where you can reconnect with yourself. Expeceally nowerdays you really need this from time to time.
